So you think all oils are the same?
It's been years since the Oils aint oils slogan hit the market and whilst we all know the lawn mower and the car utilise different oils, some still persist in using any available oil in their vacuum pumps - BIG MISTAKE!
With over 40 years experience in the industry, Javac are still the only Australian manufacturer of oil sealed high vacuum pumps the company engineers and manufactures a world class product and as world class product goes, you must use similarly appropriate oils. Essentially the selection of oil for different processes is critical due to viscosity, additives and grade required to suit each application.
Take for example the Javac Shark vacuum pump. This little beauty is a true Aussie winner around the world; its technologically advanced with respects to design materials, motor etc. So would you expect it to function on the same oil used in your compressor NO WAY! Javac has spent a considerable amount of research developing the oil for the Shark so it would lubricate, cool and seal in most ambient conditions 5 42 DegC. Using only genuine JAVAC shark oil which the machine is specd up to operate on, will ensure you do not compromise the performance and longevity of your vacuum pump.
There is only ONE SHARK and only one genuine JAVAC SHARK oil; some imitations exist and you use these at your own peril Dont get bitten!
